Today as I walked through a once burned out area heading towards Tehachapi I saw numerous fields of wildflowers. Some all yellow, all white, all purple, or mixed. I especially liked the fields of little purple ones.

Hey Mr. Watt,
This is amazing. Love the tracking and all the pictures of the flowers. So, cowboy style huh. Sounds like fun being out there will all the stars. I have done some camping here in NC, but nothing as extensive as the journey that you are embarking upon. The longest stint I’ve taken was 3 days and I remember telling my wife that the first trail we were going on was the easiest (It was the Hardest). Not much of a camper in her but she felt good about accomplishing it and it was good to be outside of our daily grind. I remember hiking Bear Mtn. with Matt and Justin. Still have the rail road spike. Safe travels to you and Justin. Hello to The rest of the family.

Thanks, and I was thinking about some of our hikes in the Hudson Valley as I walked along – especially climbing up high above the river.
