Rock jumbles

You can’t see them in this picture, but I just descended down this massive rock jumble using switchback after switchback. So far the Cascades are full of both: switchbacks and rock jumbles. Also the climbs and descents are steeper and more often.

  1. Brian. Welcome to the Nth Cascades! The walk you have ahead of you to Canada is truly memorable I hope the weather holds out for you. I have hiked most of it several times but are still to see some of the views. Your hike is inspiring me to win my current battles and follow in your footsteps next year. Good luck and safe and happy hiking.

  2. Bri,
Your photos have been breathtaking – Dave and I continue to follow your journey and marvel at your stamina. Please continue to be safe as the end is insight !

  3. These pictures are breathtaking and rugged at same time. Some of this looks like you need steel toed boots instead of hiking shoes. Stay safe.
