I could not get it tight enough and thus the outside of my shoulder straps were pinching the flesh in front of my arm-pits. The elastic strap material and the length of the strap was just too long and I couldn&#8217;t adjust the whistle-side any more. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/1fifoto.com\/hiking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/OriginalStrap.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/1fifoto.com\/hiking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/OriginalStrap-300x154.jpg\" alt=\"OriginalStrap\" width=\"300\" height=\"154\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-134\" srcset=\"https:\/\/1fifoto.com\/hiking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/OriginalStrap-300x154.jpg 300w, https:\/\/1fifoto.com\/hiking\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/OriginalStrap.jpg 746w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So I cut off the elastic and shortened that side of the strap so that the whistle-side could adjust tighter.
